Rosemary Kinnear

Rosemary completed her articles with Klagburn De Vries Attorneys and concentrated her efforts on conveyancing. She was a co-founder of Steyn Kinnear Inc. in 2000 with Johann Steyn and has acted as a founding director ever since. She has vast experience in the field of conveyancing and is well known in Pretoria for her expertise. She is assisted by a conveyancer and several support paralegal staff in the Property Department. Steyn Kinnear Inc. offers substantial conveyancing and property work, the firm being on banks panels since inception in 2000.

Basil Mashabane

Basil is an admitted attorney with post-qualification experience of over 16 years as a Commercial lawyer in Corporate Law and  Litigation a with 9 of those years spent as Legal Counsel and Deputy Executive Director of a respected Takeover law regulator.

Basil acts for small and medium sized business including a major Pension Fund  as well as individuals in providing the following services:

Johann Steyn

Legal Qualification:

1993 - B.Comm. Law degree from the University of South Africa

1997 - LLB degree from the University of South Africa

1998 - Admitted as Attorney


Johann completed his articles with Eitel Kruger and Partners and subsequently became a partner in the firm, which became known as Kruger Steyn Attorneys. Johann specialised in commercial litigation and drafting of commercial agreements. Johann was also invited to lecture at the University of Pretoria in respect of Information Technology and Telecommunication Law and boasted Nashua Mobile South Africa as part of his clientele. Currently, Johann concentrates his efforts towards the mining industry. He serves as a director on the boards of more than one Exploration Company. Due to his extensive knowledge in the commercial and corporate fields, he regularly advises numerous clients in respect of commercial transactions and consequent agreements, corporate structuring, transactional structuring, structured finance, arbitration and litigation within the mining industry.

Sarah Digham

Legal Qualification:

2014 - LLB degree from the Unisa

2014 - Admitted as Attorney

2015 – Admitted as Notary

2015 - Admitted as Conveyancer

Designation: Conveyancer, Notary & FICA Compliance Officer


Sarah completed her articles with Macintosh Cross & Farquharson whereafter she focused on property law, conveyancing and notarial practice. Sarah specialises in conveyancing, notarial practice and property related matters and attends to all registration actions in the Pretoria Deeds Office. She has experience in the opening of sectional title schemes and bond registrations for all the major banks as well as drafting and registration of notarial bonds. She joined Steyn Kinnear in 2020 where she is focusing her efforts on streamlining the conveyancing process and overseeing registration of all transfers and bonds within the firm. She further personally consults with all clients upon signature of the bond documents.
